David Boer is an accomplished entrepreneur and visionary leader, merging deep spiritual insight with a strong foundation in business strategy and human development. As the founder of Boer Brothers Heating and Cooling, a North Carolina-based enterprise that has grown to nearly 100 employees and 20 million in annual revenue. David applied his extensive education—including a master’s in social enterprise from NC State, a master’s in communication from California State University, and a teaching degree from UNC Chapel Hill—to build a service-oriented, employee-centric company. His approach to business flourished when he focused on creating an extraordinary customer experience and a mission-driven workplace, and most relevantly an ecosystem of partners and stakeholders setting a precedent for excellence and growth.

Yet David’s personal journey has always been one of deeper discovery and transformation. The early loss of his father, the dissolution of his marriage combined with life-altering transformational experiences in plant medicine, somatic medicine, and conscious breathing practices and more, catalyzed a profound shift toward self-realization and community impact. These experiences laid the groundwork for his next endeavor: the Presence Project. At the core of the Presence Project is David’s belief that every individual has an inner calling—a potential that, when unlocked, not only elevates the person but contributes to collective well-being. The Presence Project’s “Earth School” embodies this mission, offering a sanctuary for people to reconnect with themselves and cultivate lives of joy, meaning, and holistic fulfillment.

Under David’s leadership, the Presence Project is committed to establishing a transformative retreat center in North Carolina within the next five years. Envisioned as the leading Southeast regional hub for conscious evolution, it will serve as a financial model for self-sustaining growth, a space for immersive, embodied practice, and a community anchored in mutual growth and respect.
